Oh WOW! This was amazing! Last month Steven and I went to sunny California where I had a wonderful weekend of portrait sessions on the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. The weather was perfect, the scenery was fabulous and the families were awesome. I now understand why Californians put up with the mudslides, the wild fires and the earthquakes - it just might be worth it. I truly enjoyed California and these portrait sessions. Here are a few samples below, or you can view the entire slideshows on the right.
The Lott Family
The Goldstein Family
The Gomez Family
The Kane Family
If you're interested in scheduling a destination portrait session give me a call. It's easy. Get together a group of your closest friends or family, make reservations and prepare to have a great time!

I can accurately call the Williamson-Flateau wedding that took place on July 13th "The Wedding" because it was my very first attempt at wedding photography, and will most likely be my last. Three objectives must be met in order to convince me to even consider shooting another wedding: 1) The Bride must be as sweet and laid back as Trish Williamson was. She was such a joy to work with, and she totally trusted me every step of the way, even though I was so beyond my comfort zone. 2) I must be allowed to shoot the wedding my way. No questions, just let me shoot. Bridezillas need not apply. And 3) The check writer, or "Daddy" in most cases must have DEEP pockets, and not be afraid to access the hidden depths of said pockets. Seriously. Truth be known, I had a blast doing this. I definitely stepped outside of my element for a few days, but it was a great learning experience. The wedding was absolutley beautiful, and I thank Trish and Jesse for not only allowing me to be a part of their special day, but also for being so understanding and patient with me as I muddled my way through. I wish you both a long life filled with love and laughter always, and lots and lots of children. (Want one of mine?)
Here are a couple of shots from the bridal session and a few wedding images. You can view the entire slideshow by clicking on the slideshow link of the lovebirds on the right. However, the slideshow is long and will take a couple of minutes to download, if you have dial up you could go ahead and leave on your summer vacation - it may be ready when you return.
This is Ashley, if I'm correct she's the daughter of Jesse's best flying buddy. Isn't she just the most adorable thing? If I wasn't being paid to photograph the wedding, my camera and I would have probably never left her side.
Thanks again Trish. You sweet talked me into shooting your wedding, a feat nobody else has ever accomplished. And I'm so glad you did, it was wonderful!

So I've been blogging on my personal blog site and on the senior site for awhile now, what's one more? I mean, it's SO EASY! We all know I have an obsession with my always changing website, so I challenge myself... my desires and needs to make my mark on Al Gore's World Wide Web must be contained to the pages of my blog sites and I leave my web site alone - for now. Truth is, this whole non-changing website thing probably won't last all that long, but I'll give it a good whirl. I enjoy creating new avenue's for my clients to see my work. But I digress, if Dr. Brown comes home one more night to see me revamping my website I may be calling my attorney clients for reasons other than photorgaphy related inquiries.
On this blog I will post some of my favorite recent portrait sessions along with annecdotal stories of said sessions. Oh... and lots and lots of photos. Any sessions that do not fit into the website categories of children's photography or high school seniors, I'll post those slideshows here too. If I get a whim to shoot some scenic photography when on vacation, or I run across something I just have to pull out my camera for, which I often do, that'll go on here as well. And of course anything else I feel like adding. I will attempt to keep all personal and political comments to myself, being this is a business site - but leading into an election year... well somethings just aren't entirely possible for me.
So... I do hope you enjoy the new blog site. Please feel free to tell all your friends. If they mention you as a referral when booking a session, I'll make it worth your effort. Now... we're going swimming! Have a great day everyone!
